Hmm...and ? A game can be a action rpg AND a jrpg at the same time. Jrpg = japanese rpg Sub-category for differents types of jrpg : -Jrpg "classic" (turn-based, old-school style -> FF, DQ, pokemon, etc) -ACTION RPG (Nier, dragon's dogma, souls series, seiken ...) -D-rpg (persona, etrian odyssey, Zhp, etc...) -Tactical rpg (fire emblem, disgaea, ogre tactics, etc...)
And lot of others sub-category.
so yeah, i agree with bralord. Dark souls is a jrpg, who was created for international audiance...such as our occidental Nier.
Hmm...1080/720 p ? It's the original topic ? :D |
You contradict yourself:
"-Jrpg "classic" (turn-based, old-school style -> FF, DQ, pokemon, etc)"
"Jrpg = japanese rpg"
You define jRPG along gameplay lines, but revert to defining it by geographical location in the same post. As I said in my post above, no other genre defines itself by geographical origin as it literally tells you nothing about the game itself. All other genre definitions tell you something about the game you are playing beyond the superficial Country of origin.
