I expect we'll have a Direct in the next 10 days or so, as has been the pattern the last three years. That gives Nintendo time to talk about forthcoming releases and titles that have just released. For Europe, for example, Nintendo can talk about Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam, Mario Tennis U, Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival and Xenoblade Chronicles X, as well as recently released titles like Mario Maker, Triforce Heroes etc.

On top of that, I expect we'll see indie reels, an eShop exclusive or two launching after the presentation, and some dates/release windows for early next year. Again, in Europe, there's Bravely Second, Yo Kai Watch, Fire Emblem: Fates and Star Fox Zero as potential Q1 releases. Add to that confirmation of Twilight Princess HD for February 2016, I think.

We should be due a Direct relatively soon, I think. Nintendo have been very quiet, but if they host a Direct by this time next week (I'm thinking Wednesday/Thursday) they'll have some valuable press/publicity space to themselves, with Halo, CoD and Fallout 4 (and their reviews) out of the way by then. It's not as if Nintendo have a particularly high profile title on any platform left to launch this year, and I say that as someone who can't wait to get Xenoblade Chronicles X.
