About next Nintendo Direct

This is probably last time that they can push WiiU/3DS because moment they reveal NX sales will go down. I didnt say it will be last focused Wii U/3DS direct, but my point is that evry next Nintendo Direct about WiiU/3DS will about staffs that are already announced, after this ND there will probably not be any big announcements for Wii U/3DS.

And why should they release both handheld and home console at the same time? 

They release it with one year gap in between. 3DS successor 2016 and Wii U successor 2017.

Because, if the NX is the fusion concept in the end, both the console and the handheld will be inexorably connected.So if thats the case, they will need to launch togheter, or at the very least few months apart.But we will need to wait for E3 to see that.
