Really? I thought the the one thing Nintendo did succeed at this generation was catering to the core Nintendo fan. If I'm wrong in that then Nintendo fucked up in every way possible. But reading most Nintendo fans on this forum it looks like they are quite satisfied with the games Nintendo has given them, albeit they are feeling the continued absence of a new Zelda and Metriod. 

I tyhink Nintendo has successfully appealed to its core fanbase. The only problem with that is the core Nintendo fanbase is a lot smaller than people thought it might be after the Wii phenomenon.
