My top 5 favourite parts of that article
In at Number 5...
Blu-ray discs are still the "best and most efficient way to deliver content" and "when you consider that content that plays on PlayStation 3 can go as high as 50GB it's going to be very difficult to deliver 50GB to consumers in some parts of the world in a timely fashion."
what a way to spin Blu Ray as a negative point, Ms were on the ball there by limiting themselves to the convenient DVD's
Moving up 2 places to Number 4...
Nintendo is working diligently to look like a company that cares about online gaming, but most of the integration on that front has been mediocre. To make matters worse, the company's online roadmap is practically forgotten and it seems like it's more focused on "innovation in gaming" than anything else. That's a mistake.
I can see nintendo having emergency board meetings now with top executives getting their bollocks wrapped by Miya and co saying "yeah sure you got us the market leading console, yeah we cant meet demand, yeah people are queueing up with good money to allow a software company to train their brains and bodies but did you have to do it through "innovation"!!
Number 3..
Microsoft has the best strategy in place to appeal to the biggest group of gamers and create a greater value proposition for its customers.
Yeah cos here's me thinking both Nintendo and Sony offered diversity with offerings like Singstar, Wii Sports, numerous party games - i know i'm sick of those retirement home has daily Halo 3 online death match competitons stories that have been crowding the internet recently.
Number 2...
All the while, the Xbox 360 is the forgotten player in this market that's still enjoying hearty sales without any major price drop
To quote Blackadder "if nothing else then the total pig headidness to stare the facts in the face will see you through" - I mean one of my mates who bought a 360 last week didn't get it for £70 cheaper than I did from the same shop a year before did he?
And New Entry at Number 1...
But let's not forget that Nintendo is not innocent in all this. If it weren't for first-party titles, I'm not convinced that the Wii would be nearly as popular as it is today. And now that almost every major Nintendo title is already available, how much longer should we expect the company to enjoy such strong sales?
Oh where to begin... If a Nintendo console didn't have Nintendo games then it wouldn't be popular - that's kinda like me saying GTA4 wouldn't be half as much fun without electricity. Lets finish with his best statement when he's basically sayin Nintendo cannot win this gen ans they're already winning so how long can they keep selling better than the rest? Well they have Japan wrapped up, seem ot be concentrating on America now with breaking sales records last 2 months on the trot no, are upping their production, is the fastest selling console ever produced to date and they aren't even half way through their games library yet.
