The concept of market inertia (as well as supply and demand) tends to evade those who wish to see a non-dominating console take the lead. Because if they understood those concepts, they would understand that 1.) on the off chance a system does get more popular, it takes time for it to catch up to and surpass the competition (as seen with PS3 vs. 360), and 2.) demand must be there for supply to have any meaning (which it hasn't been so much, comparatively, for the 360).
It's sad when people think citing a well-known and fairly reliable source will make people overlook their poor scholarship...
