That's because not many female only bands exist. There's female headed bands like the agonist that are very big.
There a 100,000s of male bands going no where so it's obviously not a gender issue it's a luck issue. And the lack of female interest in doing a female only band. There are females IN big bands, look at the basist in all that remains or the drummer in maximum the hormone. They do exist.
