It's not a game for everyone's taste, that's for sure. I like the controls a lot. I don't know yet if it's repetitive, although I did 2 missions in the same place, so I guess that's a fair criticism. I like how the game fear factor doesn't come with jump-scares, but more with the creepiness, the setting and some sick situations. That's somewhat refreshing. Because horror games nowadays relies a lot in jump-scares, and I'm tired of them. |
Jump scares do nothing for me in games or movies. I completely agree that its atmosphere which can actually make you feel the tension... The only one this gen I've experienced that in is Aliem: Isolation, and you spend much of that game not actually engaging the enemy.
