It is. Delays commonly happen. The backlash is expected and justified each time a game is delayed. Asking others to not complain though? I personally couldn't care less about the delay, but the OP is being demeaned to a baffling degree.

Announce a release window for an X game, delay it, get justified backlash. It's that simple.

I had no intentions to demean the OP when I made the comment about delaying games not meaning incompetence. I was just disagreeing with him.
