Nobody is questioning if he gave proper warning, all have said she was definitely in the wrong no doubt about it. The question is how much force was used to accomplish the task once he went into cop mode. The other issue is that a situation of this sort need more of a mediator not a cop. A police officer is use to policing the streets and criminals. The way they approach those situations are very risky and thus certain level of authority is required. In a school, cops should only be used for situations that have become or becoming violent. This situation does not call for a cop to intervene because there was no signs at any point of violence. It calls for someone who is willing to approach this girl like a counselor and hear why she is acting this way. This called for someone to contact her parents and get them down their way before any act of violence is met out for something like this.
Personally I did not believe the guy should be fired, he just should not be policing schools if he is going to go overboard like that. I feel this school, the teacher and the Principal failed this student because none of them knew how to handle the situation so a cop had to be called in which resulted in what we see. My personal belief is that Cops should never be the answer for non-violent situations with students at schools.
