But that's what most consider 2nd party.
A company owns a game, so the IP is first party, but the game is not made by one of their studios, so the development is third party. So that's considered second party.

Exactly. So the game isn't 2nd party (because there's no such thing as a second party game). It's first party. Insomniac could be considered a 2nd party dev, even though that term doesn't really exist officially, and is only really used on forums.
