Maybe GoW took influence from Killzone, but now Killzone 2 is taking influence from GoW. The system where you are using cover, plus you have a little squad.

 Freedom Fighters and Brothers in Arms feature both and do them very well at that.

Ahhh freedom fighters. I loved that game!

The multiplayer was a bit unbalanced though.
