Piracy shouldn't be listed as a + for either side really, while PC emulators are very much a thing if you have a modded console you can equally do the same as long as there is a big enough community of people to port the emulators over. I've played FF7 on my Wii for example or Secret of Mana from the Snes on my Dreamcast.
Actually one of the best things I had for emulation before was the original Xbox with a setup of Mame in it, was a great little arcade machine replacement! ofc all of these can be done with a PC, but equally when you go into the realms of illegal software both sides gain advantages.
