Still don't understand why SEGA just didn't take what Nintendo did with NSMB and reboot the Sonic franchise in 2D. It's nice that we eventually got Sonic 4 Episode 1 and Sonic Generations, but SEGA blew a huge opportunity and instead opted to continue their output of garbage 3D games in the series like Sonic '06, Sonic & The Black Knight, Sonic Unleashed, and of course the licensed pile of crap known as Sonic Boom.
