Well starting from the 7th gen...
Sonic '06 was a disaster.
Sonic Unleashed wasn't terrible as a whole, but slog to play through.
Sonic 4 Ep 1 was disapponiting. Ep 2 was better.
Sonic Adventure resmasters reminded us those games are hard to enjoy without nostalgia goggles.
There is Sonic titles we don't even speak of because they are deemed medicore or garbage. Such as Sonic Free Riders, Mario and Sonic Olympic games, Secret Rings, and Black Knight.
Some of those DS games were actually pretty and maybe should have come to consoles as digital releases.
The Sonic racing games are acutally great, I enjoy them even more than Mario Kart.
Its just been so much hit and miss. Also, the average Sonic fan isn't going to have every console. PS360 users that didn't have a Wii missed Sonic Colors. Wii only users missed Generations. I bet a lot of X1 and PS4 users would have enjoyed Lost Worlds, but we don't have it.
