This can't go on like that forever. They need to think of an ending to the show and focus in that. What's the source of the zombies? how will they fix the situation? If they don't focus in these questions the show will go downhill fast enough.

Those things will start being setup and done when the ratings start to faulter. Or if a producer says it's to time to end the show. That is when the show will get the closuer. Till than, it will continue on the loop. Look at any show, they're all in the same basic procedual they setup internally. Take Star Trek. The crew gets into a problem. The problem causes issues for the crew. They figure out way to deal with it. They stop the problem, and reset for the next episode.

CSI: Murder, suspects, questions, clues, figure out, arrest, table talk, reset. House MD: patient, sickness, house ass, figure out, house ass, can't figure out, house ass, house brain turns on, case solved, house ass, repeat. Walking dead does have a limited box to work in. Living, dying, killing, drama, repeat. All as everyone knows the origin and the sole place the zombies could be stopped. Is in some place in the middle of Veitnam. Or it's a alien attack.

Yeah, but knowing when and how to end a show properly is what sets masterpieces apart from mediocre cow milking...
