It looks like Nintendo has shipped 176k wii u units in FY15Q2 in Japan,194% yoy up,blame it on splatoon+super mario maker. 500k+ possibly worldwide...

Ιf Nintendo doesn't broke the trend, teasing in the third year of the predecessor,announcing at E3 in the 4th year of the predecessor and releasing after one year/in the 5th year of predecessor, then we will have it until then... So far they haven't broken it and I don't seeing them doing it, but you never know...

I hope they do like PS4 and X1 this time to be honest, tease it more in the beginning of next year, announce it pre-E3, more game announcements at E3 and finally launch in November (next year). No point dangling around the console from announcement to release in a year and a half, release it while it's still fresh! :)

I would also like the Wii U to last longer, for us Wii U owners, but the sad truth is that we are a little too few and far between. I think it's for the best that Nintendo gets the NX out sooner rather than later, late next year at the earliest (and in my opinion best!).
