Isn't that literally what the show (and the comics) is about though? A show that demonstrated that we are our own worst enemy? I would be bored out of my mind if every episode had mindless zombie killings, it wouldn't be deep at all. Character development can be slow but it's necessary if you're ever gonna give a damn about the main cast, not just who can slice zombie heads best. OT: The premiere episode was cool but a bit slow for my taste. However, JSS was a fucking mind bomb. It was just fantastic, frantic, lunatic human violence which honestly feels more terrifying than the zombies themselves. |
I dont want mindless zombie killing, but character development is stronger through actions rather than talk. This episode yesterday was well paced, literally the worst part of it was when that black guy asked that other guy about his parents and other stuff. A really good episode need not kill anyone but they need to dance with danger a little bit. Epsidoes like today, and season 5 part 2 opener are the extreme guns ablazin episodes, which im fine with. But the 'standard' episodes where they will probably kill off one alexandrian or one unknown needs to be stronger. They also need to stop being so cliched "This guy is going to get us killed" guy gets killed himself and realises Rick wasnt such a bad guy. It's becoming too formulaic that I can somewhat predict who is gonna die.
