He asked him what criteria he wanted so he could tell him if he wanted a Samsung or an iPhone it turns out there was another phone that was perfect for his criteria so he made him aware of it.

But is the Z5 really perfect for his criteria or are there other options which are even better? The active-series of Samsung is shock resistant, which could be important to kayaking. And the battery life of the Z5 is still above average, but worse than most older Xperia Z-models, Galaxy S6 Active, Galaxy A8, iPhone 6S plus, Meizu MX4...

My next smartphone will most likely be an Xperia model, but I have other preferences than the customer above and I would (try to) not let my own preferences cloud my judgement if I shall help others to find the best choice for their preferences.
