That's poor type casting, though. That has nothing to do with writing. I don't see why a LGBT character can't be acted by a straight person, though.

Ok, maybe sexuality isn't the bigger issue.

Pan is a great example. I don't want my movie to be filled with crackers for the whole time. Sometimes diversity helps the movie.
