I actually only know her from Civil War (comic) but she's kinda important. She's the mother of Luke Cage (aka Power Man) child. During the Civil War, Cage sided with Captain America while Jessica sided with Iron Man. It should provide a pretty good emotional angle when the Civil War begins in the movies..... if they are included in the movie.
