1. In the end of this gen, in 2011-12, there will be 50 million X360s sold and 60 million PS3s. That's a huge win for MS compared to 24 mill Xbox vs 115 mill PS2 in last gen. -You have no solid proof that those numbers will end up the way they are so that statement is disregarded.

This is market analysis site with predictions as a basic method and ingredient for discussion and speculation. Depending on where you set the ending of this gen (2011 or 2012) you have the best regarded authorative analysts of this site (like TheSource) having near consensus opinion that the X360 will land at 40-50 mill and the PS3 at around 55-70 mill. I have strong arguments that the numbers will be 50 mill X360 and PS3 60 mill in Oct 2011 when the XBOX 3 will be released. So my statements are valid indeed.

2. Yes, the X360 is profitable now. The last 2 Q reports show that, and it will continue. Xbox360 is profitable for NOW, yet still has a very very long way to go to even make back the money it costs to design, manufacture and market the 360 alone.

Yes, every business is about the future. Same if you own stocks. Past losses are history, you never gain those money back. Whats important is current and future profits.

3. I didn't mean hardware reliability. I meant that MS in the eyes of consumers is now a reliable and established player in the console business. Reliable in the sense that you know MS will stay in this business and offer the first machine in every gen. If you want to jump on next gen early, you'll know MS will be there for you. Ironically they will tell 360 owners to F off and spend hundreds to buy a newer console with less games, just liek Xbox1 owners... yeah, Microsoft will be there for you alright.

MS will not make same mistake as in last gen, when they stopped supporting and manufactoring the Xbox. The Xbox360 will live past Oct 2011 when XBOX 3 comes out. And there is nothing wrong with being first in a gen, and having few games at launch applies to everyone (remember the PS3 had only 12 or so titles at launch despite the push back in time). There are 10 million hardcore tech-loving gamers out there that can't wait to get their hands on the new superb machine.

4. "Cool" matters because it has to do with the marketing aspects in this business. Just listen to Kaz Hirai and his homeboys over the years. Just look at the MTV inspired Sony commercials over the years. People hate MS, yes, but X360 is considered to be a great brand now. Nowadays even thugs think X360 is the true shit. Thugs steal more PS3s than Xbox360, read the news. Even thugs still think of the PS3 as the system to get....err steal.

Yes, maybe thugs still think the PS3 is slightly hotter than the X360. That is not the point. If you go to your hair saloon you hear thugs speak X360 as much as PS3. However you measure it, the X360 is roughly as hip or cool as the Playstation brand today in the mindset of people.

5. More games are released for the X360 than for any other console. At least more than to the PS3. Devs love the X360. This may be the only thing that is ture.

6. The trend is Xbox is in an upward spiral (24 mill--->50 mill) while PS is going downwards (115 mill--->60 mill). In next gen Xbox 3 will outsell the PS4, going by trends. Too bad the market does not work this way, nor is that way to determine how market trends in the first place. Another irrelevent comment.

You know very well that it has been a problem for Sony that they were late to this gen, and probably will be late to next gen, and that it's MS's main advantage to be first in the gen. Everything we today know, points to the fact that XBOX will keep catching up on Sony in the future. The EU will be next gens main battlefield.

Please, Slimebeast. Leave the Microsoft defense to Starcraft.

VGChartz has not so many Xbox-fans as we should. I don't know why. So we need everyone we can get and to unite and help each other against the forces of Sony.
