I can sorta relate to that, originally I was all like "we don't own our games though" but over time realized we still don't anyway because the disk itself is part of the license agreement/trade in the end, except with digital you can mess with the code and with a CD-DVD you can also just extract said code and it ends up performing the same in the end anyway.

It took me a while but I got over that little bump, I;ve actually found digital games are far more cheaper for me than physical, there is still the odd 1-3 games that can be cheaper physically on PC and I still have my CD reader built into my new rig but I hardly use it unless I'm watching a DVD, that and I really have been put off physical media getting scratched and not being able to read the disks while with my digital backlog It's all there and will last forever.

For 3DS though I'm kinda indifferent, I do set out to buy physical copies but I;m also going to upgrade to a enw memory card soon which means more VC titles that will be all digital (since they all are anyway), for Pokemon though I really do have to get a physical copy of that and I have actually noticed that they never slapped Pokemon Soul silver or heart gold or any of the older ones onto their VC list and there is no way I;m buying a 2nd hand physical PKMN game, I;d rather buy digital.

Yeah. Pokemon is a weird case for me. I have a copy of every game from every generation, so it feels weird to just stop. Either way, I'm getting Z digital when it comes out, so it's just a matter of time. No mainline Pokemon on VC definitely is an annoying issue. One that will hopefully be emended in the future.
