Pretty sure the lead female is white...and the pilot is also white hispanic, but whatever hey.
Granted John Boyega is pretty poor casting if they're going for a serious protagonist. He has a comical face that I cannot take seriously. You even see it at the end of the trailer when he panics against Kylo Ren, way too funny.
