It can't just match them, it needs to be MORE powerful than them. It's launching late into the generation when the PS4 and Xbox One have already had a few years out.

Not exatly same sutuation, beacuse Wii U was realased just one year before PS4/XboxOne and had similar power too PS3/Xbox360, but I don't see successor of PS4/XboxOne before 2019, so thats around 3 year difference in comparison with Wii U. 

Saying that, I also dont think NX doesnt need to be much powerful than PS4/Xbox One (but it would be plus certainly), but should not be weaker than them.

Yeah, I understand that the timing is different but I still wouldn't want the same thing to happen to the NX where they cut its life span short because they need to make another system with capable hardware again early. 

At least if they make it more powerful than the PS4 and Xbox One it could fare much better against whatever the next Playstation or Xbox console might be without them having to replace it again so quickly.
