If those are the TYPES of games that the NX has to rely on for third party, then the NX is in trouble. I'm not arguing that the list you gave was inferior to anything, I'm arguing that the NX needs a larger list with larger titles that are not limited to indie games or TV/movie to video game adaptations. That list is literally missing an entire demographic (say age 13 and up), and it is also missing critical games for its target demographic (minecraft and rocket league) I would use that list as an indicator that Nintendo needs to change something up or risk another wii u failure |
Yes, it's laughable for games that span 2 consoles, that's exactly what I'm getting at, if they were all on a single unified platform (NX) than it wouldn't look nearly as bad especially since 3rd party are, always have been and always will be supplementary titles on Nintendo platforms. The main draw for every Nintendo device EVER has been Nintendo-published software, that will never change.
There are a bunch of games on that list that aren't indie or based on kids movies/shows, Ace Combat, Monster Hunter, Story of Seasons, Etrian Mystery Dungeon, Attack on Titan, Devil Survivor, A-Train, Lord of Magna, Samurai Warriors, Senran Kagura, Skylanders, Just Dance, Guitar Hero, Legend of Legacy, Rodea, PopoloCrois, Stella Glow, and many of these games are aimed at or played by 13 years and up demographics.
Nintendo published software+Japanese 3rd parties+kid/family friendly titles+indie titles easily gives Nintendo 100+ titles per year, this can also potentially grow since Nintendo's indie support has gotten much stronger in the last few years and doesn't appear to be stopping, along with Sony essentially stating they aren't going to make a Vita successor meaning it's possible that the strong Japanese support it receives could move to NX.
When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.
