Nice week all around, even though nothing crazy released.
The WiiU is still above 10k and well on track towards not only beating 2014, but 2013 as well. Lets Hope Nintendo actually gives us a direct and some good deals to go with the holydays.
We've been on an over four months silent treatment by now, it's getting unnerving. You can't build a close, well 'direct' relationship with your consumer base and then just retreat from that. I get that Iwatas death shell shocked them, but it's time we see some positive signs.
On another note, if my numbers are correct then Super Mario Maker is tracking behind both Mario Kart and Splatoon in LTD with launches aligned, but shows slightly better legs than Mario Kart in the same timeframe. It might catch up to it, but I doubt it at this point. If it does, it'll take significantly longer than 18 weeks though, since it's legs, while admirable, are nowhere near as crazy as Splatoons. Both should have a good holyday boost though.
