Why is censorship still a thing..? Especially in US?

If movies like 50 shades of nudity can launch in the US, then I think the public will be ok with some underwear on fake girls, in an adult video game. 

I think FFV might be more of a case of Nintendo not wanting people such as that con artist Anita and her entourage giving them bad press.
