Wait.... please don't tell me the main character is a woman. I mean, I'm not sexist but, Star Wars has always revolved around a male protagonist (Luke/Anakin). It would really weird for me to watch one based on a woman.

Are you serious?

I mean, swap 'woman' for 'black' and 'sexist' for 'racist' in your post and imagine the shitstorm your post would cause.

I think it might be a bit distasteful to share such statements.

Regardless, messing with established tropes of a series is asking for trouble. Star wars was a series of movies that appealed to a certain audience. To try and be all avangarde about it to try and target new audiences or social fighters aprovals while forsaking the old one is asking for trouble. See how that went with Mortal Kombat. They forsake popular characters to make a generic and forced group of kids for new generations to find cool.

I don't know what those audiences thought, but i find those things really forced. They ruin established series. I am thinking the same will happen with Star wars and that makes me sad.
