You guys should stop with the pirating talk. There is no need for that discussion on here.

I'd suggest looking through a few more small stores or a flea market to see if you can get the game for less money somewhere else. I played the game through twice as a kid on rentals from Avondale video. It's a great game. Some things were cooler then others though and I remember I didn't like the first ending I got so I played through it again to see another ending which was considered the best but still wasn't anything special.
I know piratings bad , but with it being hard to find games, not buying online, pirating is the only solution if you want to play the game. It's not like they are losing money either. Now if they released it on the virtual console that would be a different case, and I would be against the piracy.

Considering the OP has seen the game in question for sale in a store, I don't think your argument has any relevance in this thread.

On topic:  I think the real question is whether Chrono Trigger is worth $70 to you at this point.  If you're the type of gamer that can pick up Final Fantasy VI or Secret of Mana today, play them, and still have fun... it's worth considering.  If you can't stand ATB battle systems or sprite art offends you, maybe it's not.

I have played through Chrono Trigger a lot and gotten all 13 endings.  It is also one of the best games of the SNES era in my opinion.  If you like retro-gaming, it's worth your time.  Only you can decide if it's worth the price though.
