Good review, it covers all the strong and weak points of the game. I think also that unlocking things every 15 mins is stupid. I get where they're coming from, but I had some ideas I couldn't do until I had everything.
Although it could use more to help, like the check point, I think too that there is enough here to make all sorts of cool, creative level. I'd say this is a game worth getting.
