Buying Wii U now, or wait for NX?

I think you should go for the Wii U. I personally love this console a ton and I don't think the NX will be what everyone says it is.

Nintendo has been telling us it will be a third pillar system to the 3DS and Wii U.
Even if it does release in 2016, that does mean it won't be replacing either of them.
