Whatever you do, never get the PS1 version. They added maybe 3 minutes of FMV max, but they more than made up for it by adding hours and hours of loading times. You load into and out of every single fight in the game, even though Chrono Trigger has no separate fighting screen. It all happens immediately on the SNES version.
Play the entire SNES version. Then, and only then, look up all the really short and really stupid Chrono Trigger PS1 remake videos on YubeTube.
