To be fair, what you describe is already against the rules:
"Copy-pasting full transcriptions of articles is strictly prohibited. Instead, you may paste specific sections of the article that pertain to the subject of your thread.
Likewise, your thread should never only be a link to the story/article/video/etc.
Avoid committing plagiarism by linking the original article in your thread.
Providing original content or commentary is also highly encouraged."
The mod team wants to encourage members to put more time and energy into their threads, and to take ownership of them. Copying a news article and then setting the thread on auto-pilot isn't a good way to do that.
