Starcraft: They said there will be a couple of battles like that. However, you won't be running around in the thick of it with equal amounts of Cogs--you might have to defend an entrenched position for a while, or you may have a Hammer of Dawn 
. Actually, Cliffy specifically said that a locust drone is a locust drone (as in they won't make an individual of this large crowd weaker), but they'll be giving you ways to deal with large amounts of them like that.
