You mean the upcoming membership program that uses a single NNID across multiple devices?  Kind of exactly how the Wii U and 3DS currently do?  Devices that do both physical and digital media.

The Wii U and 3DS do not do what the membership program will do. Like, not at all. Nothing out today does. It's not simply an ID program. It's a giant project that is core to the NX platform. Do the Wii U and 3DS NNID offer flexible pricing on game purchases? No. Do they reward players who purchase more titles with cheaper prices? No. Do they offer rewards for recommendating games to other players? No. Those types of features can only be done in a controlled marketplace, wich means the eshop for Nintendo, which means digital only. A digital only membership program that is confirmed to be a core part of the NX is not going to exist on a compomised platform.

And again, the unified platform kills physical. Every NX game working on all hardware skews isn't happening with physical. Not in the way Nintendo described it, which explicitely said it would be a digital solution. Miyamoto lirerally said that. Anything else would be clunky, unintuitive, expensive, and detrimental to the unified platform. The counter argument to the NX being all digital was lost the moment the first internet dweller said cart and NX in the same sentence, and was being serious. That is the literal grasping at straws, and it's embarassing to watch.

The membership points to digital. The patent confirms digital. The unified platform genesis confirms digital. Miyamoto confirms digital. Literally everything Nintendo has said about the NX points to it being an all digital platform, and there's been not one peice of compelling evidence countering that. Only people on forums sad that they'll jump on the NX digital only bandwagon as soon as their next favorite franchise appears on it. Then, just like with everything, they'll be revisionists and act like they saw how brilliant it was from the beginning, saying its the biggest thing to hit gaming since online gaming. And they'll be right. But they'll also be hypocrits. I won't be, though. I'll just be cooking crow for everyone in the kitchen.

Either way, you remind me of something. I need to make a thread of NX digital platform bullet points so I don't have to keep repeating myself to people like you who don't bother to read previous pages in the thread, yet try to bring up points I had already gone into great detail about, like the Membership program, which I've detailed about three other times in this thread alone. Then I can just send you guys the link.
