I'm still surprised mario didn't do better in the last one given the 2d/3d platformers/Dr./Party/Smash/Kart etc were all lumped together.
I love the heck out of zelda and it's an easy #2 for me (likely #1 if the mario franchises were separated), but there's just far too many incredible-to-good games of great variety for me to go with anything else.
