Honestly, I hope they take a few pointers from some of western devs, specifically few Euro-RPG devs, who managed to strike quite good balance between open-worlds and narrative structures in the past.


I hope not. Western devs absolutely suck at making open world games not boring or ridged. I hope they do a completely new approach to open world, because not even Kojima got open world right. The last thing Zelda needs to be is influenced by Skyrim, or AssCreed, or Far Cry, or The Witcher, or Fallout, or any of the other painfully boring excuses for open worlds these days.

No one's gotten it right in 3D, so don't copy them. If they just expand apon the structure found in ALBW, that will be enough.
