I'm not gonna go out of my way and use Miiverse yet because to me it still has problems, but ads are actually a smart way to keep from possibly having to switch to paid online as a whole. Plus, it gives third party companies the opportunity to actually get their name out there to Nintendo buyers, whereas before they've almost always had no luck trying to break through unless they were specifically partnered with Nintendo. Nobody will use that opportunity yet, but that could be what they're aiming for when the next console hits, assuming they're actually going to go and try for third party support. |
Not gonna complain. Just not going to use it. I rarely used the web version but I used the Wii U version often. After the last update, it became too convoluted. I haven't used it since. They can do what they want but if that turns people away, free or not, they're doing it wrong.
