Yes, it will be possible to get lost in this game (something not really possible in any previous Zelda. But I believe that, if you choose, you can avoid getting lost. Even if it's simple guidance such as an NPC telling you to "go East," there will be some sort of guidance. 

In addition, one thing that I think is worth mentioning is that I believe it is possible for a game to feature dungeons that can be completed in any order while still maintaining a linear structure. Those two things are not necessarily mutually exclusive.

As an aside, I think it's unfortunate that you have to imply that I lack intelligence because I interpret quotes differently from you. I actually very much value your opinion on this site, and usually am always curious to know what you think with regards to various topics, but it's really too bad that you sometimes resort to those types of tactics when debating an interesting topic. I would advise that you take the advise found in your sig and apply that to same line of thinking to the posts of others on this site. Sorry for the diatribe, but I needed to get that out. 


He's not being vague at all. He said what he wants, and then he made ALBW doing what he wants. ALBW is the closest Zelda game to Zelda NES since Zelda NES, so I don't see the debate. You don't believe he will throw decades of formula out the window, but he literally said that's what he was going to do, specifically referencing linearity, guided structure, and the "opaqueness" of Zelda NES.

I think the most you'll get is an opt in guidance tool like the Hint Goggles in ALBW. That's it. But that's already in ALBW. And that's already in Zelda NES with those NPCs. So the idea that that kind of bare bones guidance is something that is only found in the 3D games is out there. But it will be nothing more than that.

They are 100% mutually exclusive. Linear literally means to do things in a set order. You can't complete dungeons in any order with a stucture that is in a set order. That doesn't make sense.
