Honestly, I never really got the hype for this game. It was the least creative or fun out of the three games that "Indie Game" documentary covered. Though really, all three of those games were terribly overrated, and there were far better indie games before and have been far better since.
But as for SMB....it's cool that they wanted to make an old school platformer. However, it always struck me as something made in Flash, like a web browser game. Just not that enticing. There are others games that do exactly what it does (retarded hard platforming), but better.
It's a bit late to be trotting this out on a Nintendo console now. Why not just focus on future efforts?
