I'd rather think it will be end of May, like MK8 and Splatoon did. That release window seems to bear a good omen for Nintendos games. Unless some other game will get released at that timeframe, of course.
Don't we know about other characters yet? It seems to me like I saw that little girl with the dragon wings from sacred stones (don't remember her name) in one of the trailers or gameplay footages.
