SMT IV: Final used fan feedback from IV to make a better game. Goal is to make it the best RPG on the 3DS.

Kazuyuki Yamai, the producer of Shin Megami Tensei IV: Final has stated that they went through all the fan feedback on SMT IV and they changed and revamped every thing they could.

Yamai also states that their goal is to make SMT IV: Final the best RPG game on the 3DS. They've been working on every nook and cranny to try and ensure it.

 

Shin Megami Tensei IV: Final is slated to release in Japan Feburary 10th 2016 exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS. 

Shin Megami Tensei IV: Final is only related to SMT IV when it comes to the setting. Otherwise, it is an entirely different game. If you love JRPG's and haven't gotten into this franchise yet, I highly recommend it.
