In theory I think its a pretty good idea and I can definitely see the benefits, Your handheld NX will be based on your own smart device, which I think its only going to increase in viability over a dedicated handheld. And your console can function like a WiiU without the added cost of the tablet and with better specs (eg multi touch).

But I am not sure this is a route Nintendo is going to take. Its a pretty risky move that makes the device seem more in line with something like Ouya: the majority of your gaming community is probably not going to care. But with the benefit of playing mobile software you can play Nintendo software so there is that.

At a decent enough price (possible) it could make the NX a viable platform for Nintendo fans and then as a 2ndary console for everyone else.

But this would mean that the NX OS would need to be compatible with Android and iOS if its going to include games that run on the smartphone and the console, when used independent of one another.

yeah, pretty risky. Also, the handheld part is very bold, i realise is too much for nintendo(especially the iOS and android simbiosis). Is just my crazy idea, lol.

But id like the home console ideia. The handheld could be a conventional handheld, and the OS the same as the home. so, not going to raise the handheld spreadness, but seems that there not too much options.
