He then went on to say that the lack of "AAA" exclusives games is due to the popularity of the PS4 where he feels that exclusives are not needed as much, due to an increase in third party games being released on the system.

That's all I wanted to hear. It's still lame and shameful, but at least he admits it. And that's why I always say Sony was better when they failed with the PS3 and had to catch up... they ended up releasing a ton of big and medium sized games. I honestly hope the XB1 sells amazingly well this holiday and make PS4 sales stay flat so maybe Sony wakes up.

Why should Sony wake up?

This generation is just illustrating beautifully how incompetent Nintendo and Microsoft are in the console market.

Sony can dominate them and not even have to release any AAA 1st party games for the first two years basically.

If anything what this generation has shown is that without benefit of a Sony making a $600 console and Nintendo winning the miracle fad controller lottery (two things that are unlikely to ever happen again), that neither really is capable of competing with Sony. That kinda sucks to say, but it's the blunt truth.
