Depends on screen size of handheld - generally, I don't like handhelds, never have. But that mostly came down to screen size - 7 inch tablets are about the first mobile devices I feel fairly comfortable playing on, so if NX handheld is that size, then handheld (only that, no need for both).
Though, if you can hook it up to TV, and handheld is cheaper, then again, the choice is handheld - anything that will play Zelda really.
Of course, there's the question of local co-op games and is that achievable on handheld hooked up to TV, so maybe home console will really be only choice for me.
