You know Galaxy and Galaxy 2 weren't anywhere close to 64 openness levels, right? Do they not count? And what you mean by "do 3D better" is "do 3D the way I want.". Nintendo experiments, that's what makes them great. And you show exactly why I am glad fans don't run Nintendo because we wouldn't have Sunshine, Galaxy, Galaxy 2, or 3D World, but instead Super Mario 64, 64 2, 64 3, etc etc. Every game won't be your new favorite, of course. But experimentation is how you can wind up with games that you never knew you wanted. But regardless, 3D stands for Three Dimensional. And that's exactly what 3D World is. How they structured the game is neither here nor there.
