Finding truth through asking someone their opinion of an individual is bad enough due to the sheer amount of personal bias and experiences that may influence said opinion. But a rating system where everyone has free reign? Probably the stupidest idea I've heard this year. As a hypothetical, let's create a fictional but realistic high school male's situation. A girl turns you down when you ask her out? Instant 0/5, claim she is a slut to save your poor self esteem, everyone joins in because witchhunts are great, and all of the sudden everyone hates her because that many poor ratings and labels can't be wrong, right? Our actions are justified because this many people said it too! Don't you see? This is a magnified cancer waiting for a catalyst. You think user metascore are bad? No one will be safe from this. If its taken seriously your job could be on the line if a smart enough customer decides that they didn't like the service they got. Seriously, there is no positive income here. Absolutely terrible idea. |
It really is just an awful idea. I'm sure if this takes off we'll see a few suicides and lawsuits x~x I really hope these people are prepared for what theyll be responsible for
