I looked around and checked on the Super Smash Bros for Wii U section and looked at its DLC. I was shocked because i saw that on top of the page it showed that smash 4 for wii u has had 75 dlc items. I htought id share this because i think Nintendo has gone to far with DLC and i can just see this getting worse and worse with the NX. What are your thoughts? |
If Nintendo has gone too far, Leagues of legend has commited the ultimate sin. Yet, here is LOL being championed as one of the best business models in the whole online scene.
How exactly does DLC go far when it doesn't require you to buy them? Why the hate on something you wouldn't have ever participated in if they hadn't done DLC at all? Personally, DLC provides for me the option of buying more of the game if I so choose. It gives you the option of furthering an investment you've already made. And as for how bad the dlc's are, they're not at all terrible, in fact, they're regarded as some of the best additions to any game. Certainly there are the skins, again, LOL. Options my, friend, options. That's all this is. Perhaps your annoyance with the practice is your lack of capability to participate or to complete the collection. If you have not, give it a chance. It's like saying, gays are kissing each other, I'm going to hate on it because it's to frequent and it annoys me without me having to do anything with it at all. Because, are the dlc's doing anything to you that it would if you weren't paying attention to it? Get over it, DLC is a great practice for those who are enthused with a game. You know what your alternative is to DLC? Sequels, long and distant, plagued with both the industry and general public machine, churning it into the spectacle that is the release date. Fuck that! Get over your damn predjudice and stop bitching about something that didn't do anything to you.
