Mario Kart 8: great DLC
Splatoon: amazing DLC (it's still getting free updates despite the game having more than enough content to justify its price tag by now).
Pikmin 3: good dlc (didn't buy it though).
None of the other Wii U games I own have DLC. So no, Nintendo didn't went overboard.
I hope SMM gets DLC.
